With its tucked away location & seemingly standard shopfront, the Cathedral Cafe looks deceptively like any other dinner spot in Old Town. In fact, if it weren’t for two photographers that I met in Prague this past spring, I wouldn’t have found this gem at all!
After seeing a few a shared photos online of the gorgeous outdoor decor, I knew the Cafe would be the perfect venue for my 30th birthday party in June. I called a few days ahead, reserved the restaurant’s large farm table, & excitedly looked forward to my dinner celebration. It ended up being a magical setting where my friends & I crowded around the garden together & ate delicious courses of marinated, tender beef with mashed potatoes & large plates of Italian meats, cheeses, & fig jam.
Because of the stunning botanical theme, whimsical garden greenery with lights, & tasty dishes, my 30th birthday dinner was both memorable & special. I would highly recommend the Cafe to anyone visiting Prague for either breakfast or dinner meals (but skip the lunch menu). It's a beautiful backdrop for catching up with a friend, celebrating a special occasion, or taking a rest from the busy city streets. Dobrou chut'!
