With weeks of rain & the smell of wet earth in the air, the winter season has faded away here in Prague. Jaro (the Czech word for 'spring') has now started to peek through the city with budding trees in courtyards & parks; a gentle gust of fresh, warm wind inviting us to come out into the world once more. & since I can finally shed my usual winter layers of a sweater, coat, & scarf, it's been the perfect time to partner with Jimani Collections for wearing simple yet delicately designed jewelry while out & about the town. Each piece in the collection is handcrafted by local women & artisans who live in Kenya & work on every step of the creation process. From welding to polishing to working on all of the small details, Jimani provides job opportunities & training to those in the Kenyan community & uses raw materials such as seed beads, brass, & traditional African fabrics.

Along with supporting a purposeful cause, Jimani’s range of quality jewelry is also comfortable & stunning to wear. It was hard for me to pick out just one product (& believe me, I’m usually very picky about selecting jewelry), & when I made up my mind, I chose a beautiful set of bracelets that were made from upcycled horn, bone, & brass. Whether I wear them on a stroll through the park, at dinner on top of Petrin Hill, or roaming the streets of Prague, the bracelets are a stand-out piece that’s sure to catch the eye, with a backstory that’s guaranteed to capture your heart.
